International Herald Tribune focuses on Cinema Komunisto
The International Herald Tribune has published an article about the exciting new developments in Balkan cinema. The article leads off with an interview with Mila Turajlic, noting that Cinema Komunisto is part of an a new generation of filmmaking. Jouranlist Ginanne Brownell notes that:
“While it might be premature to claim that there is a second New Wave of western Balkan cinema (the first new wave — or “Novi Film” — movement happened in Yugoslavia in the 1960s), it can be said that a large group of talented young filmmakers from the region are making an impact on the international film circuit.”
