Mila Turajlic, Director

Mila Turajlic is a documentary filmmaker from Belgrade, Serbia, best known for her documentary Cinema Komunisto, which premiered at IDFA and the Tribeca Film Festival, and went on to win 16 awards including top prize, the Gold Hugo at the Chicago Int’l Film Festival in 2011, and the FOCAL Award for Creative Use of Archival Footage. After studying political science at the London School of Economics, and Film and TV Production at the national film school in Belgrade, Mila specialised in documentary filmmaking at La Fémis in Paris and worked as production assistant and researcher on series for the Discovery Channel and ARTE France, as well as gaining experience on fiction films (“Apocalypto” dir. Mel Gibson, “Fade to Black” dir. Oliver Parker, “Brothers Bloom” dir. Rian Johnson). Mila is currently in post-production on her next documentary, The Other Side of Everything co-produced by HBO Europe and supported by CNC-Cinémas du monde and EURIMAGES. In 2015 she was awarded a Phd from the University of Westminster and has been a guest lecturer at several universities (including the Sorbonne, University of Michigan, Harvard University and Yale). She also teaches documentary filmmaking workshops at Archidoc and Balkan Documentary Center. Mila produces the “Magnificent 7 Festival” of European Feature Documentary Film in Belgrade since it’s creation in 2005, and is a founding member of DOKSerbia, the Association of documentary filmmakers of Serbia, currently serving as the President of the Board.
Dragan Pesikan, Producer

Dragan Pesikan is a media executive and producer with over 10 years of experience in television.
Following several years working as a journalist for print and radio, he joined the sports department of Channel 3 (“3K”) of Radio-Television Serbia, the national public broadcaster, as journalist and commentator. From there he moved to the film department, where he created the TV magazine “Short cuts” covering international film events. From October 2000. to May 2006. he was Deputy Channel Director of 3K overseeing development and production of various broadcast programmes. At the same time he was the head of the Film and TV series programming for the channel. During his time at 3K he was creator, co-creator and producer of the biggest projects undertaken in the history of the channel, including: “3K RADOVANJE”, “3K Chek-In”, “Generalna proba”, “Skrivena kamera: Bez ljutnje molim“…He is also credited as director and producer of a number of documentary travelogues for 3K: “Jednostavno najbolji“, “Skandinavka“, “Na drugoj strain sveta“, “Španska avantura“, “NBA Duh igre“…
Curently he is the production manager and Head of commentators at Eurosport. In 2009, he served as Sports Director of the biggest sporting event ever hosted in Serbia, Univerzijada Beograd 2009, and immediately afterwards he was engaged to conceive and set-up operations, programming and technology for the first HD TV station in the region Arena TV.
In recent years he has specialised in film production, executive producing the feature film “Jelena, Katarina, Marija” which was shot entirely on location in New York. He set up his own production company “3K Production” and is overseeing the script development and production of several feature film projects.
