Počinje prodaja DVD-ja!

U znak proslave 29. novembra, Dana Republike, počinje prodaja DVD-ja Cinema Komunisto!

DVD će biti u prodaji u prodavnici Muzeja Istorije Jugoslavije (Boticeva 6), Supermarketu (Višnjićeva 10), kao i kod kol-portera u Knez Mihajlovoj ulici.

Od 29. novembra u prodaji će se naći dva izdanja – ex-Yu DVD izdanje na jezicima naroda bivse države (slovenački, makedonski i albanski titlovi) kao i englesko izdanje (engleski titlovi).

Za zainteresovane kupce van Beograda postoji i mogućnost naručivanja DVD-ja preko sajta filma, putem usluga Post Expressa.

Engleska štampa o Cinema Komunistu!

Engleska štampa ovih dana sa interesovanjem piše o početku bioskopske distribucije srpskog dokumentarnog filma “Cinema Komunisto” u Velikoj Britaniji. Nakon bioskopske premijere u Londonu u petak 23. novembra, najznačajnije engleske novine dale su svoje prikaze ovog filma. Londonski Tajms daje Cinema Komunistu 4 zvezdice uz komentar da nas “ovaj temeljno istražen i elegantno izmontiran dokumentarac uvodi u kinematografsku zaostavštinu bivše Jugoslavije”. ”Tužna ali fascinantna priča” i “smeo i zabavan film” su komentari novina Gardijan i Observer. Kultni časopis Dazed & Confused daje filmu titulu najboljeg dokumentarca nedelje, a najprestižniji filmski časopis na svetu Sight&Sound u decembarskom broju posvećuje celu stranu intervjuu sa reditejkom filma Milom Turajlić.

Decembarsko izdanje časopisa Sight&Sound donosi intervju sa rediteljkom filma Milom Turajlić. Pod naslovom Da li je Jugoslavija bila filmski studio?, novinar Michael Brooke ocenjuje film kao “zabavan, iznenađujući i neverovatan.”

Cinema Komunisto will be screening at the Forum des Images in Paris on Sunday, December 9, at 17:30h, as part of a week-long selection of ex-Yugoslav films. Mila Turajlic and Iva Plemic Divjak will be present for a Q&A after the screening.

On December 8 at 18:00h there will be a round table discussion on ”Cinemas in ex-Yugoslavia”: a shared destiny between Yugo-nostalgia and the EU?”

Animée par Jean-Arnault Derens, Le Courrier des Balkans. Avec Aida Begic (réalisatrice), Amaël Cattaruzza (maître de conférences en géographie, auteur de “L’atlas géopolitique des Balkans”, Éd. Autrement, 2012), Rajko Grlic (réalisateur), Dalibor Matanic (réalisateur), Mirsad Purivatra (directeur et fondateur du festival de Sarajevo), Mila Turajlic (réalisatrice).

“Ceci est l’histoire d’un pays qui n’existe plus sauf au cinéma”, annonce Cinema Komunisto. Nés à la fin du titisme, enfants lorsque les pays de l’ex-Yougoslavie basculaient dans la guerre, quelle vision de leur histoire dessinent les cinéastes des Balkans ? Quelle continuité culturelle peut-on observer entre ces pays déchirés dans leurs frontières ?

The screening and round table are part of a focus on post-Yugoslav cinema. Notes from the festival program: “Ceci est l’histoire d’un pays qui n’existe plus, sauf au cinéma”, annonce Cinema Komunisto, un film retraçant l’histoire de l’ex-Yougoslavie à travers celle de son cinéma. Nés à la fin du titisme, enfants lorsque les pays de l’ex-Yougoslavie oscillaient entre ouverture à l’ouest et débuts d’affrontements nationalistes, les cinéastes des Balkans dessinent une autre vision de leur histoire. Une histoire nourrie de références culturelles et sociales communes, à commencer par la langue, les souvenirs de la guerre (Enfants de Sarajevo), la nostalgie d’une unité perdue ; et plus récemment, la recherche d’emploi, l’attraction de l’argent facile (Slovenian Girl), l’entrée dans l’union européenne, effective pour la Croatie en 2013 (Kino Lika). Une histoire de résistance incarnée par la défense de cette culture commune contre les nationalisme.”

We are excited to announce the cinema release of Cinema Komunisto in the UK, with our distributor Shane O’Sullivan of E2 Films!

The UK release kicks off with a week of screenings at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London on Friday, November 23rd, followed by a Q&A with the director

Many movie fans won’t know that the former Yugoslavia once had a film industry whose resources rivalled those of France and Italy, and which attracted likes of Hitchcock, Welles and Loren. That was during the reign of dictator Marshal Tito, a serious film buff who watched a film with dinner most nights and created a world-class studio complex, Avala Films, to turn his own celluloid fantasies into, well, celluloid fantasies. Cinema Komunisto is an astonishing account of Tito’s obsession: he literally used his entire armed forces to make his war movies look authentic, and made a biopic of himself with Richard Burton in the leading role. But the film is also the story of Tito’s country, cleverly told through clips from his movies. Don’t expect an objective history lesson – but you will be completely fascinated.

Inserti iz filma u izložbi “Jugoslavija od početka do kraja” Muzeja Istorije Jugoslavije

Velika nam je čast da su kustosi Muzeja Istorije Jugoslavije uvrstili inserte iz filma u veliku izložbu “Jugoslavija od početka do kraja” koja će biti otvorena za javnost 1. decembra.

Izložba će trajati tri meseca uz otvoren poziv na dijalog, a nakon reakcija stručne i akademske javnosti kao i publike, rezultiraće budućom stalnom postavkom o istoriji Jugoslavije.

Iz poruke autorskog tima: “Naša ambicija prilikom pripremanja izložbe nije bila enciklopedijska – da obuhvatimo sve aspekte društvenog sistema, niti da prezentujemo sve raspoložive podatke. Cilj izložbe je da se stvori prostor koji će na moderan, atraktivan i objektivan način upoznati posetioce sa jednim od najzanimljivijih i najkontroverznijih državotvornih eksperimenata u XX veku. Ideja nije da se hronološki prikaže sled najvažnijih događaja, nego da se obrade važni fenomeni i elementi koji su obeležili države i društva na području koje se tokom više od 70 godina zvalo Jugoslavija.

Ova izložba je za nas veliki izazov i vidimo je kao predstavljanje našeg dosadašnjeg istraživanja koje želimo da podelimo sa posetiocima. Istraživanje nije završeno, ovo je samo jedna od mnogih priča o Jugoslaviji i za nas još jedna stanica na putu ka budućoj stalnoj postavci o istoriji Jugoslavije. Šta vi mislite? Želimo da čujemo vaše mišljenje!”
